Hello lovelies! Hope you guys had a wonderful Christmas, Channukah, Kwanzaa, and/or however you celebrate the holidays 🙂 Being Catholic, we celebrate Christmas. This year, like all others, was a wonderful one. This was Evangeline’s first Christmas and although she enjoyed some of the food, she was knocked out when it came time to open presents. Her big brother was not though. He was wide awake and anxiously awaiting present time, haha!

Daddy loves dressing him all preppy-like!

Looking pretty with her new earrings!
We started the month off by piercing Evangeline’s ears. We took her to Piercing Pagoda at the mall and though we were a bit nervous at first, she was a real trooper and cried for maybe a millisecond. I had a feeling she would cry for just a little bit. She’s such a strong little girl. There was a baby before her who wouldn’t stop crying and left there still wailing, but not my Evangeline. Even the girls at Piercing Pagoda were astonished by how little she cried. That’s my girl!
The rest of the month we spent looking for presents and visiting various stores.
I always love it when hubby Henry dresses the kids. He always seems to surprise me with something. When he dresses baby Henry he mixes and matches different outfits and comes up with the cutest, spiffiest things, like what’s at the right.
When he dresses Evangeline he goes all out. He matches socks, shoes, and hairbands. I do the same, but I think it’s super cute when a Daddy does it for a little girl 🙂

Taking pictures for our Christmas card
Something else we did this month was make our Christmas cards! Last year I was able to get my cards done for free from Minted. However, this year that freebie wasn’t available. I waited and waited, but alas, noone was giving away free Christmas cards so I had to learn how to make my own! I turned to YouTube and watched several tutorials on this. I used the picture above as one of my pictures for my collage.
Christmas Eve!
Yippee! The day finally arrived! So much buying and planning and now the day was here. We bought special Christmas outfits, did my hair up real nice, and then we were off!

Her Christmas outfit

Her “after-Christmas dinner” outfit, lol!
We spent the evening with my parents, aunt and uncle, cousins, and my little cousin’s boyfriend’s family. They all came over. The grub was super yummy and baby Henry was the life of the party.

Baby Henry being silly!

Opening presents

We bought him a Thomas the Train table

It’s after midnight and he still wants to dance, lol!
The next day my brother, Danny, and sister-in-law, Gladys, passed by with the girls and they let us try on this virtual reality headset that Gladys’s brother had given her for Christmas. We played some robot games and then this scary haunted house game. Suffice to say that by the end of the scary game, we were feeling a bit jumpy!

Giving her a thin carrot

She’s like, “I’m livin’ the life right now.”
Before we go on our trip to Ecuador in a few days, we decided to grab some killer buffalo wings at our favorite place, Chubby’s!! Tuesdays is their 50 cent wings night so we always try to go on that day.
As you know, with wings they serve celery and carrots. We grabbed a really thin one and gave it to Evangeline to try out.
I just love the face she’s making as she’s munching on a carrot.
Alright folks, that’s all for now. We’ll be in Ecuador for two weeks so I won’t be able to post anything until I get back. Best wishes for a wonderful new year!!
